Project – Implementation of the E-commerce Model at UAB Alfameda
The company Alfameda was established in 1998. For over 20 years, the company has been successfully operating in the field of medical technologies. Its clients include medical institutions, universities, colleges, and others. In Lithuania and the Baltic countries, the company supplies, installs, and manufactures medical devices, designs solutions, improves existing solutions, enhances medical equipment, and provides repair services.
Faced with the global COVID-19 pandemic, like many other companies, UAB Alfameda had to evaluate new sales opportunities to safely sell its manufactured products in the market. To reduce the number of face-to-face meetings, it was decided to implement an e-commerce platform. During this project, the company plans to implement e-commerce model solutions that would increase operational efficiency and sales revenue and help overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recognizing the benefits of the project, funding was granted from the European Regional Development Fund under the 2014–2020 EU structural funds investment action program, Priority 13: “Promotion of actions to overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and preparation for an environmentally friendly, digital, and sustainable economic recovery,” measure No. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-860 “E-commerce model COVID-19”. The project is financed as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
